Winter Storms

Winter storms can be just a pain in the neck or they can be deadly. We're seeing our first of the season now and fortunately it has mostly missed New Jersey. But, to be prepared is to be safe. Here are some tips.

Have a family plan in the event of a storm so you know where everyone is.

Make a habit of listening to the forecasts.

Don't leave things lying around in the yard.

And of course, always check your supply of food drink and batteries to last a few days if you can't get out.

2008 Real Estate Market

The 2008 Real Estate Market is poised for a comeback........... Yes, it will be slow, but the experts are pretty sure things are turning. The credit crunch seems to be over, we've had 2 straight months of gains in real estate closings, prices are up somewhat and inflation is expected to remain under 3%,

Don't get too excited yet, but we might just be starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Let's hope the experts are right. Too many people have been hurt by the crazy real estate happenings of the last year. As always, let's hear your thoughts.

Foreclosures have been a hot topic for quite some time now and finally the Administration and Lenders are facing the facts.

So many sub-prime borrowers have found themselves in serious trouble and many still face losing their homes. There is no shortage of finger-pointing, but regardless of who caused the problem, these people need help. There is debate regarding whether the new proposal is the right move, and some say it is just stalling the inevitable, but I say if we are making an attempt at resolving the problem, at least it is a start. Let's hope it works to save a million homes from foreclosure.

Home searching in the winter...... does it make sense? You bet it does..... One of the best times to find what you want in a home is when most other people are not looking.

There are so many great homes out there right now, you can almost pick exactly what you want. Listing a home now is also a great idea now since even though the market has many homes, as soon as the weather gets warmer, there will be even more. So, all in all home searching in the winter is a great idea. Think about it...... less competition, sellers more anxious and perhaps better prices. Enjoy the weekend
